Gary Szatkowski, chief meteorologist at the National Weather Service Forecast Office in Mt. Holly, NJ/Philadelphia, PA will give a presentation on Hurricane Sandy, how the NWS worked to explain the storm to the public and how people's past experiences with major storms proved misleading for dealing with Sandy. Additional information will be provided on how we can be better prepared for future storms and how we can understand Sandy in the context of future weather in the region.
