New Jersey public school students and their families joined Lynn Gilmore Canton, FEMA Region II Administrator, Tim Crowley, FEMA Region II Mitigation Division Director and other FEMA staff and local partners for the grand opening of a new interactive mobile exhibit about flood risk at the Liberty Science Center, in Jersey City.  The new interactive 3D Flood Simulation Model in the Center’s  “Water, Too Much, Too Little?” exhibition allowed students a hands-on opportunity to learn about flooding issues and contributing factors such as ground permeability and water runoff and detention.  During the event, FEMA’s Flat Stanley and Stella character cutouts featuring key messages about coastal flooding and preparedness were also distributed to students. Bring your family to the Liberty Science Center today to experience the new exhibit!
